Niro means “path” in Chorotega, an extinct dialect from our local ancestors.

The Chorotega Tribe was one of the most important ethnic groups in the pre-colonial Central American region, being the Nicoya Península of Costa Rica home of the inhabitants that inherited us so much of our present culture.
